Commemorating Dr. Madhu Akhouri Chopra's special day, the 'Quantico' star pays her a tribute using a heartfelt message and an adorable photo of them with her baby daughter.

AceShowbiz - Priyanka Chopra is using her mother's special day to offer fans a peek at her little girl. When celebrating Dr. Madhu Akhouri Chopra's 64th birthday, the former star of "Quantico" put out a sweet family photo that saw her mother cradling her baby daughter Malti Marie Chopra Jonas.

On Thursday, June 16, the 39-year-old actress made use of her Instagram account to upload the photo in accompaniment of her special tribute to the elder Chopra. "Happiest birthday Mama," she began her heartfelt message, before adding, "May you always smile that infectious smile of yours"

"You inspire me so much with your zest for life and experiences every single day! Your solo Europe tour was the best birthday celebration I've seen in a while," the wife of Nick Jonas went on showering her mother with praises. At the end, she gushed, "Love you to the moon and back Nani."

The shared picture itself saw Priyanka posing next to Dr. Madhu who was sitting on a couch and held the actress' 5-month-old daughter gently in her arm. While Priyanka smiled at Malti, Dr. Madhu was seen smiling at the camera.

This was not the first time Priyanka offered the world a glimpse of Malti. On Mother's Day, she shared a photo of Malti cuddling with her parents. The baby's face, however, was covered with a heart sticker. "We can't help but reflect on these last few months and the rollercoaster we've been on, which we now know, so many people have also experienced. After 100 plus days in the NICU, our little girl is finally home," Priyanka confessed in the caption of the post.

Priyanka welcomed Malti with husband Nick in January via surrogate. Malti, however, had to spend 100-plus days in NICU first before she was allowed to be brought home. "After 100 plus days in the NICU, our little girl is finally home," Nick explained in May.

The one-third of the Jonas Brothers then continued singing praises to the medical team who helped his family. "We are overjoyed that our little girl is finally home, and just want to thank every Doctor, nurse and specialist at Rady Children's La Jolla and Cedar Sinai, Los Angeles, who were there selflessly every step of the way," he said.
