AceShowbiz - Snoop Dogg is eyeing a takeover of Twitter. The "Young, Wild & Free" hitmaker announced on social media that he's interested to buy the social media platform after Elon Musk declared that his $44 billion deal has been put on hold.

"May have 2 buy Twitter now," the 50-year-old emcee, whose real name is Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr., wrote on his page. "Gonna replace the board of directors with Jimmy from my corner Fish Fry, Tommy Chung and tha guy with the ponytail on CNBC."

Snoop went on to reveal what he would do as the new owner of the micro-blogging site. "First line of business. Free internet on airplanes!!!" he said. "29 dollars for 1 hour is bulls**t Everyone gets a blue checkmark. Even tha bots with 10 letters in their name that hit you in DMs n just say 'Hello.' Nah f**k those bots."

Snoop's posts arrived after Elon Musk announced on Friday that his $44 billion deal to buy Twitter is on hold. "Twitter deal temporarily on hold pending details supporting calculation that spam/fake accounts do indeed represent less than 5% of users," he tweeted.

Prior to this, it was reported in late April that Elon has acquired Twittter. He then released a statement, "I hope that even my worst critics remain on Twitter, because that is what free speech mean."

The Tesla owner further endorsed free speech as saying in a statement, "Free speech is the bedrock of a functioning democracy, and Twitter is the digital town square where matters vital to the future of humanity are debated."

He also spoke of his goal to make Twitter "better." He vowed, "I also want to make Twitter better than ever by enhancing the product with new features, making the algorithms open source to increase trust, defeating the spam bots, and authenticating all humans. Twitter has tremendous potential - I look forward to working with the company and the community of users to unlock it."
