AceShowbiz - Joey Lawrence couldn't hide his excitement after becoming a husband once again. Having tied the knot with fiancee Samantha Cope, the former "Blossom" star said being married to the actress just "feels so right."
The 46-year-old exchanged wedding vows with the 34-year-old on Sunday, May 1 in a romantic outdoor ceremony at Temecula Creek Inn in Temecula, California. Speaking about the union, he told PEOPLE, "It just feels so right... Life can be challenging at times, but when God gives you the right person, it's worth it."
Days before the nuptials, Joey and Samantha opened up about their relationship. "From day one, it was such a safe place to be myself," Samantha told the publication. "He loves everything about me and celebrates all those weird quirks about me. I was so blessed to be in a position to receive that. Two weeks in, I was like, 'I will be with you forever.' "
"When you meet the right person, if you're lucky enough, it cuts to the chase so quick," Joey chimed in. "I have somebody who is like-minded and has the same love language and we communicate the same way. That's super important. And I am so thankful."
Joey and Samantha fell in love after meeting on the set of TV movie "A Deadly Deed". When recalling their first encounter, the "Dancing with the Stars" alum shared to Us Weekly, "So we met there and out of nowhere, you know, it was a crazy year and a half for everybody, obviously the whole world... Then when you least expect (it), amazing things happen and meeting her has just been really the greatest thing ever."
The pair got engaged in August 2021, a year after he filed for divorce from his second wife Chandie Lawrence. When announcing their engagement, the actor shared a selfie of the two on Instagram and wrote, "Life is so full of blessings but also little unpredictable battles. I can't thank you enough for staying positive even in the toughest of times. You're my fav babe #gratitude."
