AceShowbiz - Vin Diesel has confirmed that Brie Larson is joining the "Fast and Furious 10" cast. When breaking the news on social media, the Dominic Toretto depicter in the film franchise couldn't stop gushing over the "Captain Marvel" actress.

Making use of Instagram on Saturday night, April 9, the 54-year-old actor shared a photo of him and Brie smiling ear-to-ear. He began the caption by writing, "Yeah yeah yeah… you see this angel over my shoulder cracking me up, you say to your self ' that's captain Marvel'. Clearly there is love and laughter in this image."

"What you don't see however, is the character you will be introduced to in Fast10. You have no idea how timeless and amazing she will be in our mythology," he added. "Beyond her beauty, her intellect… her Oscar, haha is this profound soul who will add something you might not have expected but yearned for. Welcome to the FAMILY Brie. @brielarson."

Fans were so excited upon hearing the news. "Yes yes welcome to the Fast Family we are so honored to have you join our family and franchise!!!" one exclaimed. "LETSS GOOOO!!!!" another marveled, while a third asked in disbelief, "Captain Marvel in Fast 10?"

The announcement arrived after Jason Momoa was unveiled to appear in the upcoming 10th installment of the film franchise. The franchise's official account announced the news via Twitter and Instagram by writing, "The Fast Fam keeps getting bigger. Welcome, Jason Momoa. #F10."

According to reports, Jason will star opposite Vin as one of the movie's villains. It was said that the "Aquaman" actor's character could work alongside Charlize Theron's Cipher, who escaped at the end of "F9".

"Fast and Furious 10" is set to be the conclusion of "The Fast Saga" and will be made into two parts. The first one, which will be directed by Justin Lin, is expected to hit theaters on May 19, 2023. Many members of the "Fast and Furious" family are expected to return, including Michelle Rodriguez, Tyrese Gibson, Ludacris as well as Sung Kang.

Unfortunately, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson refused to reprise his role as Luke Hobbs amid his beef with Vin. "I was very surprised by Vin's recent post. This past June, when Vin and I actually connected not over social media, I told him directly - and privately - that I would not be returning to the franchise," the "Jungle Cruise" star said.

"I was firm yet cordial with my words and said that I would always be supportive of the cast and always root for the franchise to be successful, but that there was no chance I would return," he continued. "I privately spoke with my partners at Universal as well, all of whom were very supportive as they understand the problem."
