The 'Yummy' singer is met with a roaring crowd of boos after he brings up his favorite hockey team, the Toronto Maple Leafs, while dissing rival team, the Montreal Canadians, during his show at the Bell Centre.

AceShowbiz - More than a decade since his debut as a professional singer, Justin Bieber still needs a lesson on how to speak to an audience. The Canadian pop superstar was booed by his fans at his Montreal show after dissing the hometown Canadiens.

On Tuesday night, March 29, the 28-year-old star performed at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec, marking the third stop of the first Canadian leg of his "Justice World Tour". Before his final song of the night, he paused to address the crowd.

"How about those Leafs though, huh?" he began taunting his Montreal fans by bringing up his favorite hockey team, the Toronto Maple Leafs. He then gave a shout out to his friend and the Leafs player, Auston Matthews, as saying, "Auston Matthews is really doing some work here in Montreal."

The crowd began to boo him in full force, but that didn't stop Justin from mocking the Montreal Canadiens for their poor performance this season. "How's that playoff spot looking for you guys this year?" he said. "Maybe next year, maybe next year," he continued.

As the crowd shouted expletives at him, he began chanting, "Go Leafs Go!" The audience then responded by cheering on their team, "Go Habs Go!"

The Canadiens and the Maple Leafs have the longest rivalry in the NHL. The Canadiens currently sits at the very bottom of the standings with an 18-38 record, despite beating the Leafs over the weekend. Meanwhile, the Leafs currently stands 42-19-5 this season.

Justin has been hitting the road for his "Justice World Tour" since February. After kicking it off in San Diego, he hit several cities in the U.S. before heading to Toronto on March 25. He will return to the U.S. on March 31, before moving to Mexico in May.

The "Lonely" singer will have two more shows in Toronto in June and is set begin the European leg of the tour in July. He will also greet his fans in South Africa, Asia, Australia and New Zealand, before wrapping it up on March 25, 2023 in Poland.
