The 23-year-old 'There's Nothing Holdin' Me Back' crooner documents the hilarious moment by posting a photo and video of his hiking on his Instagram account.

AceShowbiz - Shawn Mendes had such an embarrassing moment recently. While trying to take a shirtless photo of himself during a hike in Los Angeles, the "There's Nothing Holdin' Me Back" crooner unfortunately fell down a hill.

The 23-year-old documented the incident on Instagram. The Canadian hearthrob first shared a quality photo of him wearing nothing but black shorts and shoes. However, in the second slide, there was a hilarious video of him taking a tumble after posing for the camera.

Shawn's friends could be heard laughing as he's on the ground. Instead of feeling embarrassed, the Grammy nominee embraced the moment by poking fun at himself by writing in the caption, "i guess that's what i get."

Many have since reacted to the video. One in particular was fellow singer Anne-Marie, who laughed, "Hahahahahaha." Meanwhile, "Grey's Anatomy" star Giacomo Gianniotti jokingly commented, "Excellent use of 'gravity.' "

Shawn apparently has started to enjoy his time following his split from Camila Cabello. The former couple confirmed their split back in November 2021, saying in a joint statement, "Hey guys, we've decided to end our romantic relationship but our love for one another as humans is stronger than ever."

"We started our relationship as best friends and will continue to be best friends," the exes further noted. "We so appreciate your support from the beginning and moving forward."

Two weeks later, Shawn released a breakup anthem called "It'll Be Okay". Having received positive reactions from fans, he thanked them through an Instagram video. He said, "I just wanted to make a little video and say thank you to everybody who has been connecting with 'It'll Be Okay' and posting videos."

"I see a lot of TikToks of people crying and getting emotional and stuff, and I hope that's because there's some truth in the song and there lies honesty in it," he went on explaining. "And I just feel so proud of that song and I feel so grateful that you guys are connecting with it and I feel so grateful that people are be vulnerable with it and people are just having fun with it."

"I just wanted to come on here and show my love and appreciation," Shawn continued. "I see you guys and I see how much love you're giving this song and giving me and that means the world to me. So thank you, I love you guys."
