AceShowbiz - Meat Loaf's daughters are mourning the death of the legendary singer. Following the passing of their musician father, Pearl Aday and Amanda Aday paid tributes to him by sharing heartfelt pictures on social media.
On Saturday, January 22, Pearl posted on Instagram a photo of her hugging her dad onstage. "I love you always, no matter what. I love you with my whole heart. We got you. Forever," she penned.
Hours later, the 47-year-old songstress followed it up with a photo of the rocker, who was born Marvin Lee Aday, during a performance. In the caption, she quoted lyrics from his hit "Bat out of Hell" that read, "And the last thing I see/ Is my heart/ Still beating/ Still beating/ Breaking out of my body/ And flying away/ Like a bat out of hell."
As for Amanda, she turned to her own Instagram page to let out some photos of her and her father. "I love you daddy always and forever," the 41-year-old actress simply wrote in the caption of the post.
Meat Loaf adopted Pearl when he got married to her mother Leslie Edmonds in 1979. The couple welcomed Amanda in 1981. The rocker got divorced from Leslie in 2001 and later wed Deborah Gillespie in 2007.
Meat Loaf passed away at the age of 74 on Thursday. In a statement shared on Facebook, his family noted, "Our hearts are broken to announce that the incomparable Meat Loaf passed away tonight with his wife Deborah by his side."
"Daughters Pearl and Amanda and close friends have been with him throughout the last 24 hours," it added. "We know how much he meant to so many of you and we truly appreciate all of the love and support as we move through this time of grief in losing such an inspiring artist and beautiful man."
The family concluded the message by writing, "We thank you for your understanding of our need for privacy at this time. From his heart to your souls…don't ever stop rocking!"
