Some stars got new inks after wrapping up their long-running TV show or movie series. Some others showed off matching tats with their siblings, while some made use of tattoos to celebrate their friendships.

After bidding farewell to Rosewood after a seven-year run in 2016, Shay Mitchell, Ashley Benson, Troian Bellisario, Lucy Hale, Janel Parrish and Sasha Pieterse decided to get matching tattoos on the inside of their pointer fingers to commemorate the show.

Each of them got the first initial of their respective character immortalized on their finger. Sharing a picture of their tattoos was Hale, who wrote at the time, "This happened. Thank you @shamrocksocialclub for taking care of us. We couldn't not get tattoos to commemorate the show! And obviously on our 'shh' finger."

Back in July 20, 2018, Amanda Seyfried revealed during her appearance on "Late Night with Seth Meyers" that after wrapping up the first installment of the "Mamma Mia!" movie series, she got matching tattoos with co-stars Rachel McDowall and Ashley Lilley, who played her character Sophie's BFFs and bridesmaids in the first film.

"We're best friends," Amanda shared. The actress further shared that they got the word "minge" inked on their foot, as she called it "a term of endearment."

It's indeed something to brag about to be a Baldwin. Back in 2015, cousins Hailey Baldwin and Ireland Baldwin went to West 4 Tattoo in New York to get themselves matching tattoos. The two stars took to their respective Instagram accounts to share similar images featuring their "Baldwin" tattoos on their inside middle fingers.

Prior to getting the new tats, Hailey, whose father is Stephen Baldwin, and Ireland, who is the daughter of actor Alec Baldwin, were bonding as they hit the red carpet for the "Mission: Impossible - Rogue Nation" premiere before going on a shopping spree together in the city.

Hilary Duff and Alanna Masterson were also among stars who commemorated their friendship with bestie tattoos. After releasing her new single in July 2014, the "Lizzie McGuire" alum and her BFF got matching ghost tattoos, which were done by fame tattoo artist Dr. Woo.

The inks, which appeared to be on the ladies' forearms, featured the words "Ride or Die" at the bottom of the rustling ghost sheets. "Another set of bestie tattoos for two of the best besties I know @lucytwobows @hilaryduff," so Dr. Woo wrote in a caption of his Instagram post.

The BFFs got the letter "m" inked in red script tattoed on the inside of their pinky fingers.

The former "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" star cut ties with Jordan following the latter's scandal involving Kylie's sister Khloe Kardashian and her baby daddy Tristan Thompson. In 2019, Jordyn made headlines after she was caught kissing Tristan during a party.

"I visited the tattooist a couple times, showed him the drawing and stuff. I didn't say anything about Ian McKellen or whoever may be coming in. He just did it. We did all meet one morning and it was an interesting event, and I enjoyed it. Half a day. Actually everyone showed up. It goes along with all the other scars we got!"

Of the meaning of the tats, they revealed that it was the date when they found out that the two landed their "GOT" roles and became sisters. "We've always kind of said we wanted matching tattoos. We got them together just the other day," Sophie said in an interview with E! News.

While Selena's ink includes the number 76 written in Roman Numerals (LXXVI), Cara's has the number 12 written in Roman Numerals (XII) above the huge rose.

As for the meaning, Selena revealed on "Live with Kelly and Ryan" that "it means a couple of different things." The Rare Beauty founder went on to gush over the model, "She calls me Rosebud, so it's a nickname. And I've always wanted a rose and now I got one, and I love it."

Ahead of "Avengers: Endgame", which marks the last movie of the Marvel movie series, the main cast of the movie decided to get matching tattoos to celebrate the billion-dollar success of "Avengers: Infinity War" and the decade milestone of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

The tattoos appeared to be a combination of the main Avengers logo wrapped behind a number six, presumably for the original six superheroes: Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, Hulk, Black Widow and Hawkeye. Robert Downey Jr., Chris Hemsworth, Scarlett Johansson, Chris Evans and Jeremy Renner were among those who got tattoed, while Mark Ruffalo for some reasons was left out from the commemoration.

Explaining the meaning of the cute inks, the actor Esquire that they chose spoon because of his quirky habit that he passed on to Paris, which was stealing spoons from restaurants, cafes, airplanes and etc. "It's harmless," he shared in the 2020 interview.
