AceShowbiz - While Tristan Thompson faces backlash over his paternity drama, Corey Gamble seemingly makes it clear that the basketball player's got his back. The boyfriend of Kris Jenner was seen showing support to Tristan by attending his game.
On January 4, Corey was spotted watching the basketball match between Tristan's Sacramento Kings game and the Los Angeles Lakers at the Crypto.com Arena in L.A. Even though the Kings lost to the Lakers 114-122, it didn't make Corey stop rooting for Tristan.
In a video from the event, he was also seen holding up the Canada native's jersey for the paparazzi as he walked to his car after the event.
The sighting arrived just days after Tristan admitted that he fathered a son with Maralee Nichols, a woman who is suing him for pregnancy and child-related expenses. "Today, paternity test results reveal that I fathered a child with Maralee Nichols. I take full responsibility for my actions," Tristan wrote on Instagram Stories on January 3.
"Now that paternity has been established I look forward to amicably raising our son. I sincerely apologize to everyone I've hurt or disappointed throughout this ordeal both publicly and privately," he added.
The athlete went on to issue a public apology to Khloe Kardashian as he was still with Khloe when he hooked up with Maralee. "Khloe, you don't deserve this. You don't deserve the heartache and humiliation I have caused you. You don’t deserve the way I have treated you over the years," he wrote. "My actions certainly have not lined up with the way I view you. I have the utmost respect and love for you. Regardless of what you may think. Again, I am so incredibly sorry."
Khloe, who shares a daughter named True with Tristan, allegedly is "still very upset" about how things unfolded but is moving on. Of the Good American jeans founder, a source told E! News, "After everything they have been through, he was still saying one thing and doing another. She knows she deserves so much better."
As for Maralee, she explained that she was not aware that Tristan was still in relationship with Khloe when they hooked up. "I would never have gotten involved with Tristan if I thought he was in a relationship," she insisted. "Instead of focusing on any negativity, I am choosing to embrace being a mother and doing the best I can for my son. I do not want any further media attention, nor do I want a romantic relationship with Tristan. My goal is to raise our son in a safe, healthy, loving and private environment."
