The sister of the late '90 Day Fiance' alum, Shannon Speagle, hopes her brother's death should serve as a reminder of how important it is to get vaccinated and take precautions against the coronavirus.

AceShowbiz - Jason Hitch's sister doesn't want more people losing their lives due to COVID-19. Shannon Speagle has urged people to get their vaccine against the deadly virus following her unvaccinated brother's death.

When speaking to TMZ on Wednesday, December 22, the sister of the late "90 Day Fiance" alum said that she has been left devastated by the passing of her brother. She further noted that she hopes her brother's passing should serve as a reminder of how important it is to get vaccinated and take precautions against the virus, no matter how healthy one believes they are.

Shannon later told the outlet she used to argue with her brother about getting jabbed against the coronavirus as her brother was against the vaccine. She said he would send her misinformation about the jab not being effective.

Shannon also shared that her brother, who starred in season 2 of "90 Day Fiance", insisted that he was a healthy 45-year-old man, and if he did get COVID, he was certain he'd be fine. During their final convo, Shannon urged him to get vaccinated because he was planning to visit her and her children. However, her sibling ultimately refused and didn't visit them.

Shortly after Jason contracted the deadly virus, Shannon told the outlet that she didn't want to call him as she thought it'd come off as her rubbing it in his face. She didn't realize the severity of Jason's illness until he was admitted to the hospital.

By the time Shannon flew out to see him in the ICU, she stated that he was sedated and on a ventilator, noting that it was the worst sight she had ever seen. When her brother lost his battle after suffering complications, she was by his bedside. She later described that it's the worst "I told you so" imaginable.

Jason passed away on December 14. According to Shannon, the reality TV personality's family was able to be present at his bedside and could hold his hand when he passed away. Shannon confirmed that her brother didn't have any preexisting conditions.
