AceShowbiz - Kodak Black had a special gift for his pregnant girlfriend. When hosting a baby shower with Maranda Johnson, the "Wake Up in the Sky" spitter surprised her with a new ring.
The 24-year-old hip-hop star, who has just completed his 90-day rehab stint, presented Maranda with the sparkle on Monday, December 20. In a video surfacing online, the emcee was first seen giving a speech to express his love to his girlfriend before giving her the ring.
It was unclear whether Kodak proposed to Maranda since he did not get on one knee. However, it was clear that Maranda was more than happy with the gift as she showed it off to partygoers while displaying her growing baby bump.
For the event, the "No Flockin" hitmaker donned a white beaded suit that he paired with white trousers. His girlfriend, on the other hand, looked stunning in a champagne-colored full-length beaded dress.
This arrived more than three months after Kodak's lawyer, Bradford Cohen, told TMZ that the emcee and Maranda are expecting their first child together. Bradford additionally reported that the pregnant mom, who is a real estate agent, found out that she was pregnant in April, which means that the couple will welcome the baby in late 2021 or early 2022.
On the next day, Kodak took to his Twitter account to confirm the pregnancy news. "I Got Mo S**t I Can B Petty Bout Or B Involved In … I Got Drops I'm Debating On …. But No Matter How Much Da Dumb S**t Tickles Me My Daughter Otw Mo Important," he tweeted on September 7. "Been Practicing Since Yesterday How I'm Finna B Callin Dem Lil N***as Phones & S**t … Runnin They A** Off."
While the unborn baby will be the "ZEZE" spitter's second child, it will be Maranda's first. The Pompano Beach native is also a father to 6-year-old son King from a previous relationship.
