The former CNN anchor has been dropped by HarperCollins Publishers amid plans to release a 'provocative' book about Covid-19 pandemic and Donald Trump administration.

AceShowbiz - Chris Cuomo's career continues going downhill. After losing his jobs for being implicated by his brother Andrew Cuomo's scandal, the anchor is now dropped by HarperCollins Publishers amid plans to release a book titled "Deep Denial".

The hardcover, which was due next year, originally appeared on Amazon's listing but it has since been removed from the website. "I can confirm that we don't intend to publish the book," a spokesperson for the publisher issued a statement.

The book was described as "a provocative analysis of the harsh truths that the pandemic and Trump years have exposed about America - about our strength and our character - and a roadmap of the work needed to make our ideals match reality."

Chris Cuomo was fired by CNN over his efforts to help his politician brother when the latter was hit with sexual harassment scandal. The TV network made the decision only a few days after suspending the anchor, citing a review by "a respected law firm" and "additional information" that "has come to light."

While the TV bosses didn't specify what kind of "information" they received, a new report later revealed a lawyer representing Chris' former "junior colleague" had contacted the company about sexual misconduct allegation levelled against him.

The former co-worker came forward because she was "disgusted by Chris Cuomo's on-air statements in response to the allegations made against his brother, Governor Andrew Cuomo."

A representative for the embattled journalist insisted the sexual misconduct allegation was "not true," stating, "If the goal in making these false and unvetted accusations was to see Mr. Cuomo punished by CNN, that may explain his unwarranted termination."

Amid all the ruckus, the newsman has also left SiriusXM Radio where he had a show.

It's not the first time Chris Cuomo was hit with sexual harassment allegation. His former producer previously claimed the anchor grabbed her butt in front of her husband when giving her a hug at a party. He apologized after she firmly refused his sexual advances.
