The 'Lipstick Jungle' alum, who was 15 when she starred in the controversial ad, also reveals in a new interview that she was supposed to shoot a second ad with the brand but it didn't happen.

AceShowbiz - Brooke Shields cannot forget her unpleasant memory with Barbara Walters. When recalling the interview she did with the broadcaster following the release of her controversial Calvin Klein campaign, the supermodel agreed that it was "maddening."

The former "Lipstick Jungle" star, who was 15 when she starred in the commercial, walked down memory lane when speaking to Dax Shepard on his "Armchair Expert" podcast. "It's practically criminal," she said of the interview. "It is not journalism."

During the chat, Brooke also disclosed that she was supposed to shoot a second ad with Calvin Klein. However, she was dropped by the company. "It was supposed to be a two year contract and I was signed to do the next campaign and that didn't happen," she said.

"And I came to realize, it was confirmed in a way that the identification of me with the jeans was more so than [Calvin]. It almost backfired on them," the 56-year-old actress went on explaining. "It was almost as if people were coming in asking for the Brooke Shields jeans, and that was really not the goal."

Brooke previously reflected on her '80s Calvin Klein campaign, which had slogans, "What comes between me and my Calvins? Nothing," when sitting down with Vogue in October. "I was away when they all came out, and then started hearing, 'Oh, the commercials have been banned here, and Canada won't play them,' " she said at the time.

"And paparazzi and people screaming at me and screaming at my mother, 'How could you?'... It just struck me as so ridiculous, the whole thing," she continued elaborating. "I was naive, I didn't think anything of it. I didn't think it had to do with underwear, I didn't think it was sexual in nature. I would say it about my sister, 'Nobody can come between me and my sister.' "
