Adele's '30' Enjoys Atop Billboard 200 Albums Chart in Its Second Week

Meanwhile, Michael Buble's 'Christmas' and Vince Guaraldi Trio's 'A Charlie Brown Christmas' soundtrack soar high on this week's chart as the albums are benefitting from the holiday playlist.

AceShowbiz - Adele continues to reign Billboard 200 albums chart with her new album "30". The British singer's new set spends its second week atop the chart after earning 288,000 equivalent album units in the U.S. in the week ending December 2, according to MRC Data.

Of the sum, 225,00 are album sales. SEA units comprise 61,000, which equals 81.33 million on-demand streams of the album's song. As for TEA units, it comprises 2,000 units. The number marks the largest second week for an album in over three years following Drake's "Scorpion" which earned 335,000 units back in 2018.

Back to the chart, Taylor Swift's former No. 1 "Red (Taylor's Version)" is at No. 2 with 102,000 equivalent album units earned. At No. 3 is Michael Buble's "Christmas" that soars high from No. 9 with 59,000 equivalent album units earned in the holiday season.

Olivia Rodrigo's "Sour" trails behind as it jumps from No. 8 to No. 4 with 48,000 equivalent album units earned, thanks to the album's vinyl LP at Target stores. As for Drake's former leader "Certified Lover Boy", the album falls from No. 3 to No. 5 with 48,000 equivalent album units with Morgan Wallen's "Dangerous: The Double Album" descending from No. 5 to No. 6 with 45,000 units.

Also dipping on this week's chart is Summer Walker's "Still Over It". The album, which debuted at No. 1 on the chart, falls one rang from No. 6 to No. 7 after earning 40,000 units. Silk Sonic's "An Evening With Silk Sonic" also descends from No. 4 to No. 8 with 37,000 units earned.

Rounding the chart is The Weeknd's "The Highlights" which moves up from No. 10 to No. 9 with nearly 37,000 units. At No. 10 is Vince Guaraldi Trio's "A Charlie Brown Christmas" soundtrack. The album climbs up from No. 21 to No. 10 after earning 36,000 equivalent album units thanks to holiday playlists.
