AceShowbiz - Gigi Hadid is noticeably looking different now. The supermodel has debuted her dramatic hair transformation in her first public sighting nearly a month after the news broke that she and Zayn Malik called it quits following his alleged physical altercation with Yolanda Hadid.
In photos obtained by Daily Mail on Tuesday, November 23, the catwalk beauty was seen swapping her auburn tresses for a new platinum blond hair color. For the outing, the 26-year-old model donned a red vinyl jumpsuit over a black turtleneck. She also wore black sneakers and a black beanie.
When leaving a photo shoot in New York City, Gigi was accompanied by her younger sister Bella Hadid. The 25-year-old sported a black blazer and trousers with a pink T-shirt. She added a fuzzy brown hat to cover her long, dark hair in curls that reached her chest.
Gigi's NYC sighting marked her first public appearance since she ended her tumultuous relationship with Zayn, with whom she shares her 1-year-old daughter Khai. Their split came after Yolanda alleged that the former One Direction member had "struck" her during an argument in September.
More recently, Zayn, who pleaded no contest to four charges of harassment, was reportedly "begging" Gigi to take him back despite his family asking him to go back home. "He's been begging and sobbing on the phone, insisting that it was an isolated incident," a source close to the 28-year-old singer spilled to OK! Magazine.
"Gigi is upset and shell-shocked but does believe he's sorry, which has Yolanda terrified that she'll take him back," the source continued. However, the informant said that "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" alum wanted to keep distance between Zayn and Gigi as well as her granddaughter Khai. The insider told the outlet, "Yolanda is getting legal advice on how to keep Zayn away from her daughter and granddaughter for good."
The source went on to point out that Yolanda always took issue with Zayn's temper and said that the singer has "a dark, troubled character." Despite Yolanda's wishes to get rid of Zayn from the Hadid family, it's reported that Gigi "made it clear" that although the two had called it quits, he will still be a part of Khai's life.
"Gigi will do everything she can to make sure [she and Zayn] co-parent in a civil way," a separate source close to the Hadid family informed the publication. "Yolanda is very upset with Zayn, but Gigi has made it clear that her daughter needs her dad." Previously, it's also reported that they want to co-parent their daughter in a "peaceful" environment.
