Through a released statement, the K-pop star's agency YG Entertainment notes that her bandmates Rose, Jisoo, Jennie immediately received PCR tests upon learning about her condition.

The 24-year-old K-pop star, real name Lalisa Manoban, tested positive for COVID-19, her agency YG Entertainment confirmed in a statement, sent to Korean news organizations on Wednesday, November 24, reported The New York Times.

"This is YG Entertainment. BLACKPINK's Lisa was diagnosed with COVID-19 this afternoon (November 24). The other three BLACKPINK members (Rose, Jisoo, Jennie) have not been classified as close contacts yet, but they immediately received PCR tests after hearing of Lisa's positive COVID-19 results, and they are currently awaiting their results," the agency said as translated via Soompi.

"We first shared this information quickly and accurately with representatives and staff, and we took strong preemptive measures even beyond the guidelines of health authorities," they continued.

"We will continue to not hold back on providing full support with the health of our artists and related staff members as the top priority. If there are any changes in the future, we will once again notify you quickly."

The Thai-born singer and rapper is among the most recognized faces of K-pop, with 68 million followers on Instagram.

Five of BLACKPINK's videos have been watched more than 1 billion times on YouTube, and her first single, "Lalisa", taken from her debut solo album of the same name, which was released on September 10, set a YouTube record for the most-viewed music video by a solo artist in 24 hours with 73.6 million views, dethroning Taylor Swift's "Me!" in 2019.

The K-pop idol has also broken Spotify record with her track "Money". Sixty five days after being released on September 10, the song surpassed 200 million streams on the audio streaming service, making it the fastest song by a female K-pop artist to achieve the feat.
