The former star of 'Home Improvement' shares the exciting news on social media more than one year after he called it quits with his wife of 14 years, Carly Matros.

AceShowbiz - Congratulations are in order for Zachery Ty Bryan. Revealing that he has gotten engaged to his now-fiancee, the former star of "Home Improvement" said he couldn't be more "thankful" for her.

According to Us Weekly, the 40-year-old shared the happy news on his private Instagram account on November 17. "You win some and you lose some," he reportedly wrote alongside a photo of him hugging his fiance as she flaunted her diamond ring. "I'm thankful for a win … finally!"

Bryan was previously married to his highschool sweetheart, Carly Matros. The pair, who share three daughters Taylor Simone, Gemma Rae and Jordana Nicole together, decided to call it quits after 14 years of marriage.

"Almost Fourteen years as best friends, soulmates, partners and then parents. It has been an incredible journey, but together, we've decided to turn the page and move on from our marriage," he announced on Instagram last October. "As we enter into this next chapter, our children and relationship as co-parents and dear friends will remain our priority."

"We understand this news lends itself to public dialogue, but in the interest of our children and our family, we're asking for privacy, compassion and love during this time," he continued. "Thank you [sad face emoji]."

Later that month, "The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift" actor was arrested for allegedly strangling his girlfriend during an altercation in their apartment. He was booked on three charges for strangulation, fourth-degree assault and interfering with making a report. However, he was released after spending one night behind bars on a $8,500 bail.

Bryan managed to escape prison time after pleading guilty in the case in February this year. Following the plea deal, he "was sentenced to 36 months of bench probation, with conditions of probation including the program Bridges2Safety and no contact with the victim."
