The former 'Dancing with the Stars' contestant is 'glad to hear' former husband Don Lewis, who has disappeared since 1997, has been found by U.S. officials alive and well.

AceShowbiz - "Tiger King" star Carole Baskin's former husband, who went missing in 1997 and was declared legally dead in 2002, is alive and well in Costa Rica.

Don Lewis' disappearance, which happened six years after he married Baskin, was one of the plot points in the hit Netflix reality show, with his family suspecting Carole may have killed him.

After suing officials at Netflix and Royal Goode Productions for using footage of her in the second season of the show, which premiered on Wednesday (17Nov21), Baskin is thrilled one piece of good news came from the legal drama.

Discussing how she was represented in the series, she told ITV's "This Morning" the big revelation about Lewis is "one of the really exciting things that came out of Tiger King 2."

She revealed she found out after being contacted by officials at the Federal Bureau of Investigations and Homeland Security.

"They said that my husband, Don Lewis, is alive and well in Costa Rica," she explained. "And yet all of this hay (drama) has been made about me having something to do with his disappearance, when Homeland Security has known where he is at least since back then."

She also suggested Lewis' family contact officials at the government agency.

"I think maybe they should check with Homeland Security, who seems to know where he is (sic)," she added.

And Carole admitted she's surprised her ex survived.

"I didn't think that he was capable of supporting himself," she shared. "He took about a million dollars down into Costa Rica and I had agreed to let him do that so he could prove to himself that he could make a living."

"And when we recovered what we could out of that years later, it was only about $80,000 because the investments he had made were so bad."

"So I don't know how it is that Homeland Security says he's alive and well in Costa Rica but I'm glad to hear it."
