AceShowbiz - Sarah Jessica Parker is back practicing witchcraft as she has begun filming "Hocus Pocus 2". The actress has been spotted slipping into a witch costume as she reprises her role as Sarah Sanderson in the upcoming sequel.

In photos obtained by PEOPLE, Parker was seen wearing a multi-colored dress as she was filming outside an Old Colony House built in 1741 in Newport, Rhode Island. The brick Georgian-style building was once a meeting place for the colonial legislature, according to the site.

The 56-year-old actress was lifting her long skirt as she descended the stairs with several crew members following her with some shooting equipment. She topped off the look with wavy long blonde locks.

Parker previously teased her transformation into her character on Instagram. Taking to her Stories on Wednesday, November 10, she gave a sneak peek at her hair and makeup test as she prepped her return as the youngest of the Sanderson sisters.

"Hair and make up test on HP2," she sang in a video as she pointed the camera at "Sarah Sanderson's face," which was just makeup being blended by the on-set artist. "We'll let you know, folks, how it all turns out. How it shakes down."

Keeping her face out of the frame, she then gave a little look at a blond wig being prepped. "Where's Sarah? Where's Sarah," she said in the iconic witches' voice. "I'm not showing more right now. We're in the early stages."

Disney announced on Monday, November 1 after Halloween that the movie officially kicked off production. Along with the filming announcement, the plot was revealed. The new "Hocus Pocus" will pick up 29 years after a teen named Max (played by Omri Katz in the original 1993 film) lit the Black Flame Candle and resurrected the three 17th-century child-essence-stealing sorceresses.

Winifred (Bette Midler), Sarah (Parker) and Mary (Kathy Najimy) are now looking for revenge when they find themselves back in Salem in the present day. It's up to three high school students, who incite the wrath of the enchantresses, to stop them.

The sequel is written by Jen D'Angelo and directed by Anne Fletcher. It will be released on Disney+ sometime in 2022.
