The 'Red Notice' actor, who was crowned the Sexiest Man Alive by PEOPLE magazine in 2010, tells the 'Ant-Man and the Wasp' star not to 'blow this opportunity.'

AceShowbiz - Ryan Reynolds has shared his wisdom to Paul Rudd after the latter was officially named PEOPLE's 2011 Sexiest Man Alive. Having won the title back in 2010, the Canadian-born star included some witty humor when telling the Ant-Man depicter in the MCU to make the most of it.

The "Deadpool" star was asked to weigh in on the announcement on the "Today" show on Wednesday, November 10. He told anchors Hoda Kotb and Savannah Guthrie "of course" Paul had taken the title, sharing that he was "very excited" about the "Wanderlust" actor's newest accolade.

Ryan then added in jest that the honor "will be wasted on him like so many before him." He explained, "He's going to play it shy. He's going to play it bashful, humble. If I know what I knew now, I wouldn't do that. You got to seize this opportunity."

He went on telling Paul, "Don't blow this, Rudd. If you're there, do not blow this opportunity. Run like the wind."

Asked what he would do if he were to be named Sexiest Man Alive again, he joked, "I'm not saying I would leave my family, but they would need to go on without me. I would roam the world clutching my dog-eared People magazine, going from town to town, sowing my wild oats like some sort of nude, magical gardener. It would be amazing."

Also responding to Paul's Sexiest Man Alive title was Josh Gad, who wrote on Twitter, "If I had to lose out to someone, I'm happy it's Paul." Director Judd Apatow, who has worked with the 52-year-old actor on "This Is 40" and "Knocked Up", quipped, "I have mixed emotions about this."

As for Paul, he admitted that sexiness isn't something that's always attributed to him. "I do have an awareness, enough to know that when people hear that I'd be picked for this, they would say, 'What?' " he told PEOPLE in this week's cover story. "This is not false humility. There are so many people that should get this before me."
