In a new social media statement, the daytime diva announces that she will return to her iconic purple chair 'as soon as' she and her doctors agree she's ready.

AceShowbiz - Wendy Williams' fans seemingly are not happy with Michael Rapaport guest hosting "The Wendy Williams Show". Showing their disappointment, they demanded Sherri Shepherd return to "save the show."

The 51-year-old actor will be filling in all week as Wendy continues to recover from her health issues. "I'm so glad to be here, I am so excited to be here," the "Prison Break" actor told the audience on Monday, November 8. "Wendy, thank you so much for trusting me with your show."

Fans quickly took to social media to express their disapproval for Michael. "Bring back Sherri!!!!!," one user commented on the show's official Instagram account, while another said, "Come back Wendy and save the show… or Sherri… How you doin."

One disgruntled viewer asked, "Why is michael rapaport guest hosting wendy williams show?" before adding, "And why am i being subjected to this nonsense." Another person commented, "Today's show was not it! Come back Sherri," while a separate critic chimed in, "@sherrisherpherd is the PERFECT guest host for @WendyWilliams... Nobody else should be doing it."

Since season 13 began, Wendy has been unable to host in her iconic purple chair due to health difficulties. On Monday, the 57-year-old daytime diva broke her silence and issued a statement about her wellbeing via Instagram, noting she'd be back on the screen "as soon as" she's ready.

"HOW YOU DOIN'? I MISS YOU ALL! As everyone knows, my health has been a hot topic. I'm making progress but it's just one of those things that's taking longer than we expected," her social media statement began. "I'm a woman of a certain age, and I know enough to listen to my doctors and will return to my purple chair as soon as we all agree I'm ready."

Wendy, who was spotted being escorted in a wheelchair recently, continued, "I want to thank all of my staff and our guest hosts for stepping up and stepping in while I can't be there." She added, "I also want to thank Debmar-Mercury and our stations for being so understanding and supportive while I work my way back."

"Most of all, I want to thank my fans. I have heard your prayers and comments and feel all the love! You are everything to me," Wendy concluded. "I love spending my mornings with you all and I'm doing everything I can to get back to work, but right now Wendy has to focus on Wendy. I love you for watching."
