Rumor has it, a crew member working for the production of the upcoming fifth installment of 'Indiana Jones' has been found dead after he had only arrived on set recently.

AceShowbiz - A crew member on the forthcoming "Indiana Jones" sequel, which is currently shooting in Morocco, has died, Page Six reported Thursday (4Nov21).

Camera operator Nic Cupac, 54, was found dead in his hotel room in the city of Fes, Morocco, Britain's The Sun reported.

His cause of death was not disclosed, but "he is thought to have died of natural causes."

Nic previously worked on iconic films like "Jurassic Park", "Harry Potter", and "Star Wars", and had only recently arrived on set to help film for the upcoming sequel.

More than 100 crew members had reportedly assembled in the city to prepare for the filming of a major stunt scene using a rickshaw.

"Indiana Jones 5" was originally set to hit theatres on 9 July but was pushed back to 29 July, 2022 amid the pandemic.

Last month, Disney announced it would be released 30 June, 2023.

Part of the reason for the delay is likely to be star Harrison Ford's shoulder injury, sustained in June (21), which forced the closure of the production for three months.

Harrison is known for doing his own stunts and Steven Spielberg, who directed him in the previous "Indiana Jones" films, expressed regret for letting Harrison Ford take on risky scenes such as the boulder run in "Raiders of the Lost Ark."

"A double would have cheated his head down, so Harrison volunteered to do it himself."

"There were five shots of the rock from five different angles - each one done twice - so Harrison had to race the rock ten times."

"He won ten times - and beat the odds. He was lucky - and I was an idiot for letting him try it."
