In addition to Eliza Hutton, Brandon's sister weighs in on the shooting incident involving Alec Baldwin, saying, 'No one should ever be killed by a gun on a film set.'

AceShowbiz - Brandon Lee's ex-fiancee has finally broken her silence on his death. In the wake of "Rust" accidental shooting involving Alec Baldwin, Eliza Hutton decided to speak out for the first time 28 years after Brandon's death.
"Twenty eight years ago, I was shattered by the shock and grief of losing the love of my life, Brandon Lee, so senselessly," Eliza said when sitting down with PEOPLE. The 57-year-old lost Brandon in March 1993. At that time, the son of martial arts icon Bruce Lee was shot with a prop gun during the filming of "The Crow".
During the chat, Eliza then shared her condolences to the family of Halyna Hutchins, who was accidentally killed in a similar accident on the set of "Rust". "My heart aches again now for Halyna Hutchins' husband and son, and for all those left in the wake of this avoidable tragedy," she pointed out.
Eliza then called for banning real guns on film sets. "I urge those in positions to make change to consider alternatives to real guns on sets," she stressed.
Eliza was not the only one who weighed in on the "Rust" incident. On Friday, October 22 Brandon's sister wrote on his Twitter page, "Our hearts go out to the family of Halyna Hutchins and to Joel Souza and all involved in the incident on 'Rust'. No one should ever be killed by a gun on a film set. Period."
The ordeal took place during the filming at the Bonanza Creek Ranch in Santa Fe, New Mexico on Thursday. When Alec fired a prop gun, he accidentally killed Halyna, who was the director of photography. The father of Ireland Baldwin also injured the movie director, Joel Souza.
On the next day, Alec took to Twitter to express his "shock and sadness." He then noted, "I'm fully cooperating with the police investigation to address how this tragedy occurred and I am in touch with her husband, offering my support to him and his family. My heart is broken for her husband, their son, and all who knew and loved Halyna."
