Though the state of Louisiana, where he was being held on drug and weapon charges, has granted his release under strict conditions, the 'Outside Today' rapper's bond is placed on hold as he still faces charges in California.

AceShowbiz - NBA YoungBoy a.k.a. YoungBoy Never Broke Again has not walked out of jail, despite previous reports stating otherwise. The rapper reportedly remains in custody, though he has been granted a conditioned-release in Louisiana.

According to lawyerforworkers on Instagram, the 22-year-old's bond has been placed on hold as he still faces charges in the state of California. lawyerforworkers, which has been following the YoungBoy case closely, said that the Baton Rogue native will remain in jail until his legal team comes to a new bond agreement with the state of California.

On Friday, October 22, it was reported that YoungBoy was released from prison after Judge Shelly Dick of the Middle District of Louisiana granted his release on a bond. His lawyer confirmed to Rolling Stone that YoungBoy, whose real name is Kentrell DeSean Gaulden, was granted a $1.5 million bail with strict conditions after he spent seven months behind bars.

"Bail and bail conditions for his release were ordered by the judge," defense lawyer Drew Findling said after the hearing in Baton Rouge. "It was a very comprehensive bond order." The bond includes the condition that the 22-year-old must wear a GPS monitor and is restricted to a residence in Utah.

However, no one is allowed to stay at the residence with him except for his family and he also has to stay away from guns and have to submit drug tests regularly. It was also said that YoungBoy would hire a security firm to enforce his detention and his record label pledged to build a recording studio in the Utah residence.

Shortly after the news broke, DuvalPromo posted a conflicting report citing the mother of one of YoungBoy's friends. "False alert. YoungBoy will not be released today, sadly," the Instagram message read. "Looks like #nbayoungboy won't get released today words from one of his best friends mother."

YoungBoy was arrested in Louisiana on March 22 on firearm-related charges. He was arrested in Los Angeles about two weeks later and transported back to Louisiana. He has been held at St. Martin Parish Correctional Center in Louisiana, where he has been awaiting trial, since April.
