The Fat Amy depicter in 'Pitch Perfect' film series reveals in a new interview that she's 'been in touch with this 'inner siren' after going through her whole health transformation last year.

AceShowbiz - Rebel Wilson has opened up more about her weight loss journey. Claiming that people are "obsessed" with her transformation, the Fat Amy depicter in "Pitch Perfect" film series revealed that she can relate to them.

When sitting down with the Daily Telegraph's Stellar magazine, the 41-year-old divulged that she has received "more press... when I do nothing except lose weight" than when she starred in several films. "People are so obsessed with it," she said of her new appearance.

"But I get it," the Australian native went on explaining. [Oprah Winfrey] is one of my heroes. She's certainly struggled with eating issues and I would always watch her episodes when she spoke about that."

Noting that she "grew up not really trading on my looks, Rebel described herself as "the personality girl." She added, "But after going through my whole health transformation last year, I've been in touch with this 'inner siren.' "

"It's not about being a certain size or body weight or anything. It's just about loving yourself and loving the journey that you're on," the actress continued elaborating. "And to me, the women I think are most beautiful are those who step into their own power."

This arrived after Rebel, who lost more than 66 pounds after embarking on her diet and fitness kick in 2020, reflected on her unhealthy life. Posting an Instagram picture with tennis ace Novak Djokovic, she said, "I remember this was when I was at my most unhealthiest, being overweight and indulging way too much with junk food. Using food to numb my emotions [sic]."

"My father had passed away of a heart attack and it was such a sad time. I didn't think highly of myself and wasn't valuing myself how I should have," she further shared. "I look back now at that girl and am so proud of what she's become and achieved. And just wanted to send out some encouragement to everyone out there struggling with weight or body issues or emotional eating. I feel you. I know what it's like. But it's never too late to start improving yourself and trying to be the best version of YOU possible."
