The British actor has passed away at the age of 48 at his home alone after his condition deteriorated following his return from the Huddersfield Royal Infirmary.

AceShowbiz - "Peaky Blinders" actor Toby Kirkup died after medics sent him home from the hospital with chest pain, a court in England has heard.

The 48 year old was admitted to the Huddersfield Royal Infirmary last August (20) with chest pains and a tingling sensation in his arms. He died alone at his home.

Lawmakers heard he was diagnosed with gastritis - inflammation in his stomach lining - and discharged. He suffered cardiac arrest and vomiting and died.

A post-mortem determined Kirkup died of natural causes after his family asked the coroner to examine his body.

Another hearing is scheduled for 30 September (21).

Kirkup played a police sergeant in "Peaky Blinders".

His obituary has been published.

"On the 29th August 2020 Toby died suddenly at home in Huddersfield aged 48," it read.

"Beloved son of Philip and Pamela younger brother of Dominic and Sammy. Much loved father to Isabella and dear friend to many."

"Private service at Church of St Thomas, Thurstonland on Monday 21st of September followed by private committal at Huddersfield Crematorium."

"Family flowers only please. Donation in lieu of ACA UK."

Tributes and prayers poured in for the late star and his family. A former friend at university stated, "RIP Toby, you were a real character at uni & often made lectures much more interesting, sorry it ended this way."
