AceShowbiz - Setting the record straight. Following rumors that Britney Spears' sister Jamie Lynn Spears are preparing a tell-all memoir, which reportedly was titled "I Must Confess: Family, Fame, and Figuring It Out," her publisher has shut down the speculations.

Worthy Publishing's website, as well as Barnes and Noble's, previously claimed that Jamie Lynn was preparing a memoir which would be ttiled "I Must Confess: Family, Fame, and Figuring It Out", referencing her sister Britney Spears' single "…Baby One More Time." However, on Friday, July 9, Worthy Publishing released a statement clarifying that it was "incorrect and incomplete information."

"Worthy Publishing, an imprint of Hachette Book Group, became aware earlier today that premature information about Jamie Lynn Spears's still-in-development book project has been erroneously released online to book retail sites," Worth Publishing wrote in a statement shared on Twitter. "We deeply regret that incorrect and incomplete information about her book has appeared in the public space, particularly at this sensitive time for Jamie Lynn and her family."

The publisher, however, shared that it was "excited and honored to be collaborating" with Jamie Lynn "on her as-yet-untitled memoir, scheduled for publication in January 2022." According to the new statement, the book "has been in development over the past 12 months and will allow the world to hear her inspiring story in her own words, for the first time."

"We look forward to sharing accurate and complete details about the project at the appropriate time and to celebrate the release of her memoir with Jamie Lynn and her fans next year," the statement concluded.

Prior to this, it was said that Jamie Lynn would talk about "her unfiltered story on her own terms about being a child star, becoming a teen mom, the years she stepped away from the spotlight, the terrifying ATV accident that threatened her daughter's life, and discovering the most important elements of life: love and family" in the said upcoming memoir. The listing also promises "never-before-heard stories that are at times funny, inspiring, messy, and uncomfortable" and that the book will explain "why her family is just like any other family."
