AceShowbiz - Joe Exotic might have found it difficult to see his estranged husband with a new man. After Dillon Passage went public with his new "special" boyfriend amid their divorce, the imprisoned "Tiger King: Murder, Mayhem and Madness" star took to social media to throw shade at him.

Making use of Instagram on Thursday, July 8, the 58-year-old posted a screenshot of an article about Dillon's relationship. "I wish Dillon and John well," he sarcastically wrote in the caption, before adding, "It would have been nice to have been told by Dillon instead of TMZ out of respect since I have paid his bills for 3 years while I sit in here."

"But what was I expecting, huh? No different from the zoo crew," the former zoo owner went on. "But Joe has a surprise of his own coming up. He is so f**king sexy. #JusticeForJoeExotic #tigerking JoeExoticUSA.com @tigerking.coin."

Just a few hours earlier, Dillon debuted his new beau by sharing some pictures of the two on his own Instagram account. In the accompaniment of the post, he enthusiastically penned, "Everyone, meet John."

"I've planned on keeping my relationship private for personal reasons but lately I've been having a hard time dealing with things happening in my life and John has been my rock and helping me get through it all," he continued. "In short, this is an appreciation post for this special special man. Thank you for being you."

The news came as surprise since Joe, who is serving his 22-year prison sentence for his role in a murder-for-hire plot to kill Carole Baskin, revealed in April that he and Dillon have "decided to stay married." He told Entertainment Tonight, "You know, I talk to Dillon three times a day on the telephone, and we love each other very much."

"He has been out there alone for two-and-a-half years," he added. "The guy has been through hell and he has stood by my side the entire time and we were talking about a divorce a few weeks ago so he could move on, and we talked about it some more and we decided to stay married."

Dillon confirmed his split from Joe in late March. "To answer the main question the public wants to know, yes, Joe and I are seeking a divorce. This wasn't an easy decision to make but Joe and I both understand that this situation isn't fair to either of us. It's something that neither of us were expecting but we are going to take it day by day," he declared on Instagram at that time.
