The actor, known for his role in 1998's movie 'Blade', says he's 'embarrassed' for the Natasha Romanoff depicter over her involvement in the Marvel film that 'looks like a bad video game.'

AceShowbiz - Stephen Dorff isn't into "Black Widow". While movie and comic geeks have been hyped up over the release of the long-awaited Marvel movie, the actor clearly doesn't share the excitement as he trashed it and slammed Scarlett Johansson over her decision to star in the "garbage" movie.

The 47-year-old star, who is known for his portrayal of Roland West in the third season of HBO's crime anthology series "True Detective", criticized the solo Black Widow movie during an interview with the Independent. He likened it to "a bad video game."

"I still hunt out the good s**t because I don't want to be in 'Black Widow'. It looks like garbage to me. It looks like a bad video game," he told the U.K.-based news outlet. "I don't want to be in those movies. I really don't. I'll find that kid director that's gonna be the next Kubrick and I'll act for him instead."

Ripping into Johansson for her decision to star in the movie, Dorff, who also starred in 1998's movie "Blade", added, "I'm embarrassed for those people. I'm embarrassed for Scarlett! I'm sure she got paid five, seven million bucks, but I'm embarrassed for her."

"Black Widow" is due to hit U.S. theaters on July 9. Despite Dorff's resentment for it, the movie received majorly positive reviews from critics, with an average rating of 7/10 on review aggregator website Rotten Tomatoes. On Metacritic, the film has a weighted average score of 68 out of 100, based on 34 critics, indicating "generally favorable reviews."

Owen Gleiberman of Variety found the film to be "much more interesting and absorbing" and "features just enough kinetic combat to give a mainstream audience that getting-your-money's-worth feeling, but from the opening credits, most of it has a gritty, deliberate, zap-free tone that is strikingly - and intentionally - earthbound for a superhero fantasy."
