The 'Fancy' hitmaker insists Britney Spears, her collaborator on 2015 single 'Pretty Girl', did not lie when the Southern Belle said she was abused by her father.

AceShowbiz - Iggy Azalea has claimed she "personally witnessed" Jamie Spears' abusive behaviour towards daughter Britney.

The 31-year-old rapper collaborated with the pop superstar on "Pretty Girls" in 2015, and released a statement in support of Britney amid her conservatorship battle with dad Jamie.

Despite saying previously that she had been forced to sign non-disclosure agreements (NDAs), which would prevent her from talking about her time with Britney, Iggy returned to Twitter on Wednesday night (30Jun21) with a lengthier statement, in which she claimed she had been witness to Jamie's misconduct.

"It's basic human decency to at the very least remove a person Britney has identified as abusive from her life. This should be illegal," she wrote. "During the time we worked together in 2015, I personally witnessed the same behaviour Britney detailed in regards to her father last week and I just want to back her up and tell the world that: She is not exaggeration (sic) or lying."

Britney had claimed during an emotional testimony last week (end27Jun) that the way Jamie was governing her during her conservatorship was "abusive" and even suggested he should be jailed.

"I saw her restricted from even the most bizarre and trivial things: Like how many sodas she was allowed to drink. Why is that even necessary?" Iggy continued. "Her father conveniently waited until literally moments before our BMAs performance when I was backstage in the dressing room and told me if I did not sign an NDA he would not allow me on stage. The way he went about getting me to sign a contract, sounded similar to the tactics Britney spoke about last week in regards to her Las Vegas show."

Concluding her statement, Iggy wrote, "Britney Spears should not be forced to coexist with that man when she's made it clear it is negatively impacting her mental health."

"This is not right at all."

While Britney is making moves to request the end of her conservatorship formally and legally, her motion to have Jamie removed as her co-conservator - filed last November (20) - was denied by a judge on Wednesday.
