When opening up about his feud with the 'Cardigan' singer, the music mogul claims she refused to discuss their problem although he had asked her to 'sit down' several times.

AceShowbiz - Scooter Braun has finally addressed his feud with Taylor Swift. The record executive, who has been in dispute with the "Cardigan" singer since 2019, admitted that he regrets their professional rift.
The 40-year-old expressed his remorse in a new interview with Variety. "I regret and it makes me sad that Taylor had that reaction to the deal... All of what happened has been very confusing and not based on anything factual. I don't know what story she was told. I asked for her to sit down with me several times, but she refused," he claimed.
"I offered to sell her the catalog back and went under NDA, but her team refused. It all seems very unfortunate," the music mogul added. "Open communication is important and can lead to understanding. She and I only met briefly three or four times in the past, and all our interactions were really friendly and kind. I find her to be an incredibly talented artist and wish her nothing but the best."
Scooter and Taylor started their feud in 2019 after he purchased her masters recordings from her first six albums through an acquisition of her former music label record, Big Machine. Upon hearing the sale, the Grammy Award-winning singer/songwriter accused him of "incessant, manipulative bullying."
In the new interview with Variety, Scooter weighed in on the allegations. "The thing that struck me the worst is the word 'bully,' " he said. "I'm firmly against anyone ever being bullied. I always try to lead with appreciation and understanding. The one thing I'm proudest of in that moment was that my artists and team stood by me."
Scooter sold the masters to a private equity firm called Shamrock Holdings for over $300 million in November 2020. Taylor, who has long tried to acquire her masters back, said she entered the negotiation. However, Scooter's team allegedly tried to make her sign "an ironclad NDA" before she could even place a bid.
"My legal team said that this is absolutely NOT normal, and they've never seen an NDA like this presented unless it was to silence an assault accuser by paying them off. He would never even quote my team a price," Taylor wrote on Twitter at that time. "These master recordings were not for sale to me."
