The footage that serves as a prologue to the final film of the Colin Trevorrow-directed 'Jurassic World' trilogy is set in prehistoric nature and sees two dinos butting heads.

AceShowbiz - Before fans get to see the first teaser of "Jurassic World: Dominion", a preview of it has been shared online. Fifteen seconds long, it has been made available for viewing pleasure via the "Jurassic World" as well as IMAX official YouTube accounts.

The footage that serves as a prologue to the upcoming Colin Trevorrow-directed movie is set in prehistoric nature and sees dinosaurs roaming freely on Earth. There are some new species which are never seen before in the franchise, though some may recognize them as Pterosaurs and Ankylosauruses.

The clip then ends with a look at two dinos of different species literally butting heads, before the movie's logo appears on screen. The full "extended preview" will be played before "F9" in IMAX theaters when it opens this Friday, June 25.

Meanwhile, Forbes Scott's Mendelson who was able to attend the press screening of "F9" at the TCL Hollywood theatre on Sunday night, June 20 has detailed the "Jurassic World: Dominion" extended preview. According to him, the teaser is in two parts, with the first one being the prehistoric prologue.

The next part takes place in present day and it acknowledges the "dinosaurs live among us" in the aftermath of the "Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom" events.

Colin Trevorrow recently talked about the teaser. "Ever since I was a kid, I have wanted to see dinosaurs in their natural habitat," he said in a statement earlier this month. "It may have taken a few decades, but with a little help from ILM, Universal and Amblin, it has finally happened. This preview is just a glimpse of the film we've made. It's an epic celebration of everything Steven Spielberg and Michael Crichton created, and I can't wait to share it with the world next summer."

"At IMAX, we've missed audiences as much as they've missed seeing movies in our theaters, and this is the perfect welcome-home present for everyone who loves movies," added Megan Colligan, President of IMAX Entertainment. "We are always thrilled to show the world's most spectacular movies on the world's most spectacular screens, and to help create moments and memories for audiences that last a lifetime. We're proud to join with Universal, Amblin, and the 'Jurassic World' and 'F9' filmmakers in offering this unforgettable and unprecedented cinematic experience."

"Jurassic World: Dominion" itself is not slated to arrive until June 10, 2022. Chris Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, B.D. Wong and Jake Johnson are among the returning actors, while Laura Dern, Sam Neill and Jeff Goldblum of the original "Jurassic Park" franchise are joining the cast of the sci-fi adventure pic.
