The daughter of late Steve Irwin reveals that Bob Irwin has 'returned gifts' she has sent him, 'ignored' her correspondence and 'never said a single kind word' to her personally.

AceShowbiz - Bindi Irwin has spoken out about her bitter relationship with Bob Irwin. As she celebrated Father's Day, the daughter of late Steve Irwin accused her estranged grandpa of "psychological abuse" since she was a little girl.
In a Father's Day post dedicated to her father, her husband Chandler Powell and her father-in-law, the "Crikey! It's the Irwins" star was asked by fans why she left her estranged grandpa Bob out of the tribute. Responding to the question, the 22-year-old TV personality confessed, "Unfortunately my grandfather Bob has shown no interest in spending time with me or my family." She added, "Publicly he continues to claim that he wants to spend time with us while privately me entire life has been psychological abuse from him."
Bindi continued to claim that Bob has even gone as far as returning things she has sent him after they have been opened. "He has returned gifts I've sent him after he opened them, he has ignored my correspondence," she admitted. "From the time I was a little girl he has ignored me."
"Preferring to spend time doing anything else rather than being with me. He has never said a single kind word to me personally," Bindi elaborated further. The "Bindi the Jungle Girl" star went on to point out, "It breaks my heart but it is not healthy to engage in an abusive relationship."
Bindi also noted that her mom Terri Irwin still sends letters and gifts to Bob, but she's getting ignored as well. The new mom, who gave birth to her first child Grace Warrior Irwin Powell in March, explained that the family has been supporting the 82-year-old financially since 1992 and is still sending him weekly payments.
Despite how he has purportedly treated her and her family for decades, she still wants to make sure he is taken care of. "We built him a house on a beautiful property and will always do our best to ensure his well-being," so she pointed out.
Bob has been estranged from the family for years. The last public photos of the family together were in 2007 at a memorial for Steve at Australia Zoo.
