AceShowbiz - Singer Olivia Rodrigo has chalked up her fourth consecutive week atop the U.K. singles chart.
The continued popularity of "Good 4 U" has now made it the longest-reigning number one rock-influenced single in 18 years, according to OfficialCharts.com.
Evanescence was the last act to boast the title in 2003, when "Bring Me to Life" spent four weeks in first place.
Rodrigo's run at the top keeps The Weeknd at number two with "Save Your Tears", while Doja Cat and SZA's "Kiss Me More" stays put at three.
Meanwhile, Noel Gallagher is celebrating after his first solo greatest hits release went to number one on the albums countdown.
"Back the Way We Came: Vol 1 (2011-2021)", released under Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds, becomes the former Oasis star's 12th career chart-topper.
Rodrigo remains at two with "Sour", as rapper Polo G enters at three with "Hall of Fame".
Speaking about her debut album, Rodrigo previously admitted that lockdown caused by the COVID-19 pandemic had sped-up her effort's release. "Had I been going to press junkets, and performing on late night (TV), I wouldn't have had the confidence in writing the record that I did," she told BBC.
On being transparent in her songwriting, the "High School Musical: The Musical: The Series" star said, I'm proud of the fact that I didn't shy away from those emotions." She added, "They're so uncomfortable to feel and definitely uncomfortable to talk about."
"Nobody wants to say, 'I'm super-insecure', or 'I'm really angry', but it was necessary for me," the 18-year-old further explained. "When I write my sadness down in a song, it feels manageable. It's like, 'OK, now I feel I can get through this.' "
