In the wake of Romy's passing, her daughter Isabella Israel offers a heartfelt tribute to her by unveiling some of the late actress' pictures on Instagram.

AceShowbiz - Romy Walthall has died. The actress, who was best known for her roles in movies like "Face/Off" and "Camp Nowhere", passed away at the age of 57 on May 19 in Los Angeles after experiencing sudden cardiac arrest.

Confirming Romy's death was her son Morgan Krantz. Sharing several pictures of his late mom on his Instagram account, the actor and director simply penned in the caption, "Rip Mom. I love you."

Also offering tributes to Romy was her daughter, Isabella Israel. Alongside photos of her beloved mom shared on Instagram, she wrote, "I've resigned myself to the fact that there will never be any appropriate combination of earthly words to accurately describe my mother. You just had to be there to get it. She was everything at once. She was my first love. My best friend at times and my sworn adversary at others."

"She was the most beautiful woman I've ever seen and she was wicked and fun and light and dark and she possessed the kind of magic that you truly just don't see," she added. "When we were teenagers my friends and I coined the term #romylife because we all aspired to be more like her in the way she gave absolutely zero f**ks about anything but her own happiness. I'm terrified of the world without her (how drab!) but so excited for wherever she's heading next."

"All she ever wanted was for me to live my dreams and I think it's no coincidence that she left earth once she knew I was finally safe and happy. Thank you mommy for making me a hustler, a smooth talker, a cuddler, a dreamer," she concluded. "I will always always always love you ferociously. More than the moon with a fence around it! See you around mommy."

Romy, who was born on September 16, 1963 in Pasadena, Texas, began her acting career after winning the Mother/Daughter USA pageant in 1980. She was signed to Ford Models when she was 17 years old and then modeled in Europe. She eventually moved back to Los Angeles and started her career in the entertainment industry.

Going by stage name Romy Windsor throughout her career, the actress scored her first major role in 1984's thriller "Thief of Hearts". In the following year, she played Bobbi in "A Bunny's Tale" based on Gloria Steinem's investigation of Playboy Bunnies' working conditions.

Romy continued to play roles in thrillers such as the cult classic "Howling IV: The Original Nightmare" and "The House of Usher" opposite Oliver Reed. In "Face/Off", she portrayed Kimberly opposite John Travolta and Nicolas Cage.

Romy's TV credit included "Quantum Leap", "T.J. Hooker", "Moonlighting", "Matlock", "Jake and the Fatman" and "The X-Files". She also played on the 1991 sitcom "Man of the People" with James Garner and on the 1994 show "Hotel Malibu" alongside Jennifer Lopez.
