During a podcast interview, the actress portraying Estella de Vil in the 101 Dalmatians prequel credits Jenny Beavan and Nadia Stacey for helping her creating the dognapper character.

AceShowbiz - Emma Stone has credited "Cruella" costume designer and hair and make-up artist for helping her perfect Disney's twisted dognapper.

The actress claims Jenny Beavan and Nadia Stacey did at least half of her job as she prepared to play Estella "Cruella" de Vil in the 101 Dalmatians prequel.

"Jenny Beavan, our costume designer, has been doing incredible work for so many years, and so has Nadia Stacey, who did the hair and make-up," the Oscar winner tells "The Jess Cagle" podcast. "This film in particular, of all the films I've done, it felt like the three of us were sort of creating the character together."

"Without that outside version of Estella/Cruella, especially as she is a designer, so so much of what she feels internally is expressed through her clothing and her hair and make-up, they were doing that work for me. That was nothing I could've ever come up with as an actor, so they did at least half of my job for me, for sure. And they just crushed it. It was so much work on both of their parts."

Jenny herself has talked about taking on the designer role for the movie in an interview with PopSugar. "The way I start everything - with complete terror, obviously, because it was so enormous," she said with a laughs. "I had real doubts about whether I should take [the movie] on, but I decided to just go for it."

"In any form of costume design, you start from the script and the director's vision, then you make very boring lists of each character and what they need," she continued elaborating. "At the same time, I did research and used my own memory, because I was very much around in the '70s. I was starting my career as a theater designer doing sets rather than costumes. Then I put together mood boards."
