The 'I Feel Pretty' actress quips on Instagram that she believes the 'A Quiet Place' actor and co-star Emily Blunt, who tied the knot nearly 11 years ago, have 'a pretend marriage for publicity.'

AceShowbiz - John Krasinski could not stay quiet over Amy Schumer's recent joke about him. Upon learning that the comedienne lightheartedly accused him of having a "fake marriage" with Emily Blunt, the "A Quiet Place" star took to social media to offer his epic reaction.

On Sunday, May 30, Amy first shared on Instagram a picture from "A Quiet Place Part II", which was written and directed by John and starring his wife. Alongside the snap, she wrote, "I loved every second of @aquietplacemovie even better than the first one which blew me away. Amazing to be in a movie theater!!"

The 39-year-old added, "And although Ive said for a long time I think Emily and John have a pretend marriage for publicity. But I still think you should see it this rainy weekend." Her post then caught the actor's attention who replied in the comment section, "Thank you Amy!... for blowing up our whole marriage spot."

John and Emily started dating in 2008. They later tied the knot in 2010. The couple now shares two daughters, 6-year-old Hazel and 2-year-old Violet.

In a recent interview with CinemaBlend's "ReelBlend" podcast, the 41-year-old admitted to having put "his marriage on the line" due to one particular scene from "A Quiet Place Part II", in which his wife's character Evelyn is forced to drive a car in reverse down a crowded street as a city bus comes riding towards her.

"Emily's (stunt) is so real, I think I put my marriage on the line when I put her in the car. That's true," the father of two first divulged. "When I was explaining to her on set all of the things that were going to happen, and I said, 'You're going to hit this stuntman.' "

" 'That car's going to come three feet from you. And then this bus is actually going to clock at 40 miles an hour,' " he continued recalling. "Her face fell and she went, 'But not really.' And I went, 'No, no, the bus is coming at you at 40 miles. That's a real bus. And that bus hits that car, and all that is totally real.' "

Regardless, "A Quiet Place Part II" is such a big success for the pair since the movie broke pandemic era records with an estimated $48 million box office debut. The original 2018 movie, meanwhile, ended up bringing in $341 million.
