The actor said that he might join the race if it meant he could prevent Trump from being elected. His rage against the incumbent president was sparked by the then-presidential hopeful's statement that all Muslims should be barred from entering the U.S. following a series of terrorist attacks in both the U.S. and Europe in 2015.
"If people keep saying all the crazy kinds of stuff they've been saying on the news lately about walls and Muslims, they're going to force me into the political arena," he said on "CBS Sunday Morning". Asked what position he would run for, the "Men in Black" actor confirmed, "I mean, I gotta be the president. Come on! What else would I run for?" He, however, never really joined the race and Trump was eventually elected in 2016.
