The cast member of "Cartel Crew" found out on Wednesday, June 3 that Michael McGowan, who is accused of killing her teen sister Giselle "Gigi" Rengifo, has been released without bail, prompting her to call for justice and to lament over her decision.

On Thursday, June 4, the reality star turned to Twitter to express her anguish over the court decision. "Please help my family get justice for my sister. This boy killed my sister May 18, 2020 and was released Yesterday," she began. "They gave him 'Home Arrest' after two weeks. What kind of #Justice is this? There is no Justice in #AMERICA the system is Corrupt. #JusticeForGigi."

In the same tweet, she asked, "Why is this happening to me? Why God?"

Idol lost her sister Gigi on May 18. It was said that the 17-year-old was hanging out at an Airbnb with friends, including McGowan, when she got shot in the head. Four people were detained following the incident. While all four claimed the shooting was accidental, McGowan faces a charge of manslaughter with a deadly weapon.

Before ranting out on Twitter, Idol shared a news report over McGowan's house arrest on Instagram. Along with it, she offered gratitude for the support she and her family have received since the tragic day. "Thank you everyone for your prayers and for the many beautiful messages I've received from you all. My family and I are very thankful for all of the support and prayers," she wrote.

"Also for the advice on ways to help us get through this hard time.
