Suspect in 'Duck Dynasty' Star Drive-By Shooting Arrested, Ordered to Stay Away Until 2022

Daniel King, Jr. a.k.a. Daniel Dean King has been booked and charged with one count of aggravated assault after he opened fire at Willie Robertson's properties in Louisiana.

AceShowbiz - A suspect has been arrested in connection with a drive-by shooting at "Duck Dynasty" star Willie Robertson's properties in West Monroe, Louisiana which took place on Friday, April 24. Daniel King, Jr. a.k.a. Daniel Dean King, who is identified as the man behind the wheel, has been charged with one count of aggravated assault by drive-by shooting and booked into OCC, Quachita Parish Sheriff's Office confirms in a statement posted on Facebook.

TMZ additionally reports that Daniel has been ordered to stay at least 1,000 feet away from Willie's son John Luke Robertson, daughter-in-law Mary Kate Robertson and infant grandchild. The order of protection is valid until April 27, 2022. He's also prohibited from possessing a firearm and ordered to surrender all of his firearms to the cops.

According to the site, Daniel admitted to police that he was the shooter and was under the influence of alcohol, vodka, during the shooting rampage. Cops say Daniel also claimed that "he was attempting to see if the gun was on safety or not."

As reported before, two homes at Willie's estate were struck by eight to ten bullets, with one of the shots going through the bedroom window of the home where his son John lives with his wife and their infant child, on Friday afternoon at 2:33 P.M. No one was injured, but the reality TV star said, "We were pretty shook up," due to the incident. "It looks like they were just spraying bullets across my property."

Willie said many members of his family are living at his and wife Korie's home during the coronavirus lockdown, including their daughter Sadie Robertson and her new husband Christian Huff. Willie, however, "had just gone to the store when [the shooting] happened." He went on sharing, "Nobody was outside at the time, but everybody had been out about 5 minutes before."

Witnesses described the suspect vehicle as a white over brown or beige Ford F-250 with large aftermarket tires and rims. Other occupants were in the vehicle but a description is not available.
