The 'IT Crowd' actor receives overwhelming responses from fans when he pleaded with them to send photos of his home country in a bid to cure his homesickness.

AceShowbiz - Chris O'Dowd received a warm reaction online after asking fans to send pictures of his native Ireland to curb his homesickness amid the coronavirus lockdown.

"The IT Crowd" actor spends much of his time away from Ireland while filming U.S. TV series "Get Shorty" and is believed to be spending lockdown away from the country with his wife Dawn O'Porter and their two young sons Arthur and Valentine.

While his current location is unconfirmed, it would appear that the Boyle-born star is pining for home after putting out a request for pictures on Twitter.

"Homesick today," he wrote. "Can anyone in the west of Ireland send me big sexy photos of landscapes please."

The star was inundated with stunning snaps, and Ireland's Minister for the Diaspora & International Development, Ciaran Cannon, led the responses with a breathtaking scene, writing, "Keep safe wherever you are."

Fans also shared snaps of scenes including landscapes, coastal scenes, and mountain paths, and he was clearly thrilled by the overwhelming response as he later shared, "If anyone needs something soothing to massage your troubled soul, please check out the beautiful images in reply to this request for Irish landscapes."
