The 'Deadpool' actor urges people to stay home as he answers Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's challenge to spread 'important message' about COVID-19, with a little jab at fellow celebrities.

AceShowbiz - Ryan Reynolds has spread awareness about the importance to practice social distancing and self-isolation amid the coronavirus pandemic in his own fashion. Answering Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau's challenge, the 42-year-old actor delivered an important message while roasting his fellow celebrities.
The "Deadpool" star posted a video on his Instagram and Twitter page with a note that read, "Another important message from an important celebrity. Let's spread the word, not the virus." He said in the video, "We need to work together to flatten the curve and fight off COVID-19." Taking a jab at self-important celebrities, he sarcastically continued, "I think in times of crisis, we all know that it's the celebrities we count on most. They're the ones that are going to get us through this."
He, however, reminded that there are more important people in keeping the world stable right now. "Right after health care workers, of course," the actor added. "First responders. People who work in essential services. Ping pong players. Mannequins - they're great. Childhood imaginary friends, sure. Like 400 other types of people?"
Ryan also urged people to practice social distancing as he spread hope that things will be better. "Look, stay at home, practice social-distancing, wash your hands. We are gonna get through this thing. We're gonna get through this thing together," he said.
Ryan then nominated Canadian musician Steven Page and fellow actor Seth Rogen to spread the message. "I happily nominate @stevenpage @terry_n_reynolds and @sethrogen," he added in the caption.
Ryan and his wife Blake Lively previously pledged to donate $1 million to two food organizations in the United States and Canada amid the health crisis. Announcing the good deeds with humor, he wrote in the caption of his post, "I think we can all agree, Covid-19 is an a**hole," before encouraging followers to make contribution, "If you're able to help, visit, @feedingamerica and @foodbankscanada."
