Reasoning that 'the health and well-being of our community is always going to be our highest priority,' a representative for the makeup company says that the photoshoot has been postponed until further notice.

AceShowbiz - Health concerns have forced Selena Gomez to halt photoshoot plans for her Rare Beauty cosmetics line after searching for potential models from her own fan base.

The "Come and Get It" star had called for fan submissions online to be considered for the #WeAreRare community campaign, but brand bosses have since decided to put the project on hold until the risks from the coronavirus spread die down.

In an Instagram Story post, representatives state, "We are beyond thankful you took the time to share your rare stories with us!"

"We've been overwhelmed by the incredible response from each and every one of you, and it only reinforces our belief that we can come together to form a positive community that helps and supports one another."

"However, the health and well-being of our community is always going to be our highest priority. In light of the latest updates and rapidly evolving situation with COVID-19 (Coronavirus), we've unfortunately made the difficult decision to postpone our #WeAreRare community call photoshoot until further notice..."

Rare Beauty is set to officially debut this summer.
