Following the breakthrough role, he appeared on several talk shows and series, including "The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson" and "The Ellen Burstyn Show". His most recent appearance onscreen was as himself in HBO series "Billions" in 2016.

Forte is survived by his wife of 61 years, Rosalie, four daughters, three sons and a large extended family.
