AceShowbiz - Malika Haqq has broken her silence over her post-pregnancy "makeover" plan. Days after being subjected to backlash from online trolls, the best friend of Khloe Kardashian offered clarification to her previous announcement that she has made an appointment with a plastic surgeon weeks before giving birth to her first child.
The TV personality, whose due date is right around the corner, clapped back at her critics after uploading a photo of her baby bump under water on Wednesday, February 26. Responding to one Instagram user who told her not to "get that surgery.. try working out..," she wrote back, "Where did I say surgery? Didn't happen. There are ways to enhance & improve that don't require surgery."
The 36-year-old additionally stated in another comment, "Lol wait who said I was getting surgery?! I don't need it. Never have boo boo." She further pointed out that Dr. Jason Diamond "specializes in the face." She added, "He's so elite it would take you 4 months to get an [appointment] with him. Relax ya mind, I won't be getting a facelift. Lol."
Malika has found herself under fire after she let out a photo of her posing with the A-list plastic surgeon on her Instagram page on February 25. "Stopped by just to see my fav @drjasondiamond and I'm fully book for my post pregnancy makeover," she wrote alongside the snap. "I can't wait!" Many quickly assumed that she felt the need to look amazing right after giving birth, and flooded her with negative comments.
Before Malika stepped forward to set the record straight, TV host Wendy Williams has came to her defense. "[Haqq]'s being mommy shamed because she's planning her mommy makeover before she gives birth. And Instagram people are calling her spoiled and shallow," she said during the Wednesday, February 26 episode of her show. "Gee, jealous much?"
