The 27-year-old YouTube star reveals his sexuality through a new video on his channel, saying that he is '1000 percent gay' after identifying himself as asexual for four years.

AceShowbiz - Ricky Dillon has overcome his fear of accepting his own sexual preference. After four years of identifying himself as asexual, the 27-year-old YouTube star shared with his millions of followers that he is finally "1,000% percent sure" he is gay.
Through a new video titled "I'm Gay", Dillon spilled the truth about his sexuality. "I've barely said this out loud, so I'm saying it several times to normalize it for myself. And I'm finally okay with it," he began. "I started to slowly realize that I'm gay a couple of years ago, I would say 2017, and ever since I've slowly realized it more."
On what has held him back from coming out publicly, the Internet personality admitted he was "terrified." He went on to explain that he was raised in a Christian family that don't believe in same-sex relationship. "It was drilled into my brain from an early age that being gay is one of the worst things that could happen," he noted.
"I am so terrified [my family's] not going to accept me for being gay, because I know their beliefs," Dillon confessed. Despite the revelation, he assured his followers that he has "great parents" and a "great childhood." While he claimed to have told his parents about him being gay, he did not share how they reacted to his confession.
In his coming out video, Dillon further addressed the misconception about gay people. "There's still so much of the world that is very homophobic and hateful and thinks that being gay is a lifestyle or something you choose," he dished. "I did not choose to be depressed and have crippling anxiety over this for three years." He added, "I tried so hard to be straight."
Dillon also talked about his September 2016 video in which he identified himself as asexual. "I did make a video - four years ago now I think - where I talked about my sexuality and how I think that I'm asexual, because my mind had somehow convinced myself that being gay is off the table and there's no way I could be gay," he shared.
Explaining how he came to such conclusion, he revealed that he has been in a relationship with 12 "great" girls, but could not help to feel the relationship to be "more wrong and awkward". He continued that it got him asking himself, "What is wrong with me? I don't have any attraction to girls," and led to him thinking that he might be asexual.
Dillon concluded his video by declaring, "I'm gay and I'm proud of it." He went on to share his hope that his coming out "can help so many people out there."
