AceShowbiz - Frank Catania's week didn't start off pretty good. The ex-husband of Dolores Catania took a nasty fall on Monday, February 10 that caused him to dislocate his kneecap and tear both of his quadriceps. Due to this, he is required to undergo emergency surgery, as Dolores revealed on Wednesday through an Instagram Stories video.
Filming the bodybuilder who remained seated before a hospital walker, "The Real Housewives of New Jersey" star said to him, "Frank, tell everybody what happened. I posted that you were here yesterday, and everybody's worried about you." In response, Frank joked that he "came home one day and didn't do dishes, and the next thing you know, Dolores throws me down the stairs." He, however, later clarified that he fell on his own.
In another feed, Dolores explained that her current boyfriend, David Principe, also helped her take care of Frank during his hospitalization. "David will stay in the hospital with him overnight until he goes in for surgery," she said. "I'm probably going to have to take care of him until he can walk again."
Speaking to Page Six ahead of the surgery, Dolores was convinced that Frank would be having a hard time after the procedure. "This will be the first time Frank is physically defeated," the Bravo star dished. "He's going to lose his muscles for the first time in his life. Those huge, big legs. Those 20-inch arms. How is Frank mentally going to handle this? What defined him was his body and working out."
Dolores also revealed that Frank's journey to recovery would be likely documented on "RHONJ" as saying, "It's a long road. It's going to test his strength, and maybe part of my self-growth is going to help him. We'll make it positive."
Frank and Dolores, who share two children together, remain close ever since their divorce nearly 20 years ago. The two even live under the same roof since his split from his girlfriend in 2018.
