The actor wins Best Film Actor in a Supporting Role for his performance in 'Once Upon a Time in Hollywood', and has Margot Robbie reading his speech, in which he jokes about his single status and Megxit.

AceShowbiz - Brad Pitt was among the winners at the British Academy Film and Television Arts Awards on Sunday night, February 2 in London. Despite his absence, the "Once Upon a Time in Hollywood" actor brought laughter to the audience as he poked fun at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's royal exit in his speech even though Prince William and Kate Middleton were among them.

The 56-year-old actor won Best Film Actor in a Supporting Role in the movie, and had co-star Margot Robbie reading his speech, in which he joked about his single status and Megxit. "He starts by saying, 'Hey Britain. Heard you just became single. Welcome to the club!' " the Australian actress said on the stage. He was referring to the U.K.'s decision to leave the European Union which became official this week.

"He says he is going to name this Harry because he is really excited about bringing it back to the States with him," Margot also read, as the crowd burst into laughter. She noted, "His words not mine."

The cameraman successfully captured William and Kate's reaction who sat among the audience. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge apparently didn't take offense of Brad's joke as they were seen laughing with others.

Earlier this year, Harry and Meghan announced their plan to be splitting their time between the United Kingdom and the North America. "We now plan to balance our time between the United Kingdom and North America, continuing to honour our duty to The Queen, the Commonwealth, and our patronages," their statement read.

"This geographic balance will enable us to raise our son with an appreciation for the royal tradition into which he was born, while also providing our family with the space to focus on the next chapter, including the launch of our new charitable entity," the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who are currently living in Canada with their son Archie, added.
