During a sit-down on 'Dr. Oz' on Thursday, January 30, Jonathan Hernandez revealed that his late brother told their mother about his sexuality when she went to visit him while in prison.

AceShowbiz - Aaron Hernandez's brother Jonathan Hernandez has broken his silence on the late NFL star's sexuality, which became a topic of conversation after Netflix aired docuseries "Killer Inside: The Mind of Aaron Hernandez" earlier this month. According to Jonathan, Aaron opened up to their mom about his sexuality before he committed suicide in jail.

During a sit-down on "The Dr. Oz Show" on Thursday, January 30, Jonathan said that his brother told their mother that he was gay when she went to visit him while in prison. "He's like, 'Mom you're going to die never knowing your son.' "

"Then all of a sudden they have this conversation and they're both flooded with tears across from each other," he went on saying. "The weight of what's on my brother is being expressed and for a mother to be looking at it across from the scratched glass."

He was later asked about what would happen if Aaron opened up about his sexuality to their late father Dennis Hernandez, who passed away in 2006. "I don't know if he would have been able to finish his sentence," Jonathan said. "I can't imagine him even being able to -- my dad would have thought he could beat that out of him."

Jonathan also addressed reports that Aaron killed Odin Lloyd, the 27-year-old fiance of Jenkins-Hernandez' sister, because he wanted to keep his sexuality secret. "That's one of the questions and, you know, head scratches that they still have regarding really this entire case. There's just so many questions regarding everything. And, for me to sit here and say it was this or that, I can't say. All you can do is look at the evidence that was provided," he explained.

Aaron was found guilty of murder in April 2015 for the killing of Odin Lloyd and was handed a life sentence in prison. Additionally, Aaron had even been indicted on murder charges in 2014 for the double homicide of immigrants Daniel Jorge Correia de Abreu and Safiro Teixeira Furtado, but was later found not guilty of their deaths.
