Maria Shriver Injures Herself While Playing Pickleball

The former wife of Arnold Schwarzenegger reveals on 'Today' show she suffers stress fracture after injuring her foot during a game of pickleball with her one of her sons.

AceShowbiz - Chris Pratt's new mother-in-law, U.S. newswoman Maria Shriver, is sporting a walking boot after injuring her foot during a game of pickleball.

The "Today" show contributor, who shares four children with estranged husband Arnold Schwarzenegger, reveals she was honing her paddle sport skills on the court when she sustained the ailment.

"I have a little stress fracture," the 64-year-old explained on "Today" as she showed off her new accessory.

"I decided I should learn how to play pickleball. My son did all these drop shots, and all of a sudden, (I injured my foot)... I broke it myself."

Pickleball incorporates elements of tennis, badminton, and table tennis, and requires players to use solid paddles to hit a ball over a net.

Pratt is married to Shriver and Schwarzenegger's eldest child, Katherine.
